\n Mike Francesa blasted Jamal Adams on Monday, saying the All-Pro safety who has publicly asked for a trade, isn\u2019t a \u201cgreat player\u201d who makes \u201clife miserable\u201d for the Jets.<\/p>\n

The WFAN host thinks the team should either have Adams \u2014 who has been frustrated by a lack of extension talks \u2014 play out his rookie contract or see if they can get a big haul in a trade.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I\u2019m the Jets, I don\u2019t give him a dime,\u2019\u2019 Francesa said. \u201cThey were 16-32 with him. You can go 16-32 without him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams has repeatedly stated his desire to leave the Jets, writing last Wednesday on Instagram, \u201cMaybe it\u2019s time to move on\u201d and then on Monday responding to a post from current teammate Marcus Maye with \u201cI\u2019m [gonna] miss balling with [you] the most.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also told a fan he was \u201ctrying to\u201d get to Dallas.<\/p>\n

But for that to happen, the Jets would have to give up two team-friendly years with $13.45 million remaining until 2021, so they would need to get a massive return.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m telling you right now, if somebody is dumb enough to give you a big deal for him, trade him,\u2019\u2019 Francesa said. \u201cBecause he\u2019s just gonna make life miserable every day. It\u2019s all he\u2019s done is make life miserable. He\u2019s gonna continue to make life miserable. He\u2019s never gonna be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Francesa pointed to the fact that Adams is already outspoken about playing for the Cowboys as a problem.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got a guy basically talking about other teams while he\u2019s still a member of the Jets,\u2019\u2019 Francesa said. \u201cWhy do you want that nonsense? That\u2019s not the guy you want. You want a guy who\u2019s good. He\u2019s got talent. I\u2019m not saying [he doesn\u2019t]. He\u2019s not a grt player because great players make teams better and he\u2019s never made the Jets better\u2026 He\u2019s got a chance to be a really good player, but you know what? What he\u2019s shown is that he wants to separate himself from a losing team. \u2018I\u2019m good, the rest of the team\u2019s bad. So listen, I don\u2019t want anything to do with them.\u2019 And he\u2019s already talking about being on other teams. You want a guy who\u2019s already talking about being on other teams? He wants to play on the Dallas Cowboys so bad, get the Dallas Cowboys to pony up for you. Put a good deal on the table. I\u2019d grab it so fast your head would spin.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
