At the World Trigger Jump Festa 2021 Online Stage<\/strong><\/em> today, it was announced that the upcoming World Trigger<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em> 2nd season will be one cour, with a second cour, titled World Trigger 3rd Season,<\/strong><\/em> coming later down the line. World Trigger 2nd Season<\/strong><\/em> starts on January 9 in Japan while the 3rd season will premiere at a currently unannounced time.<\/p>\n

The stage showed off the "A-part" of the first episode of the upcoming season, with the "B-part" available to watch when World Trigger<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em> premieres in January, or at the special screenings of the first three episodes in cinemas across Japan from December 25.<\/p>\n

The first season of World Trigger<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em> aired from October 2014 to April 2016, totaling 73 episodes. The entire first season is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the series<\/a> as such:<\/p>\n

One day, a gate to another world opened in Mikado City. Invaders from another dimension, referred to thereafter as Neighbors, overran the area around the gate, leaving the city gripped by fear. However, a mysterious group suddenly app<\/a>eared and repelled the Neighbors. This Border Defense Agency independently researches Neighbor technology<\/a> and fights to protect this world. In a short time, they managed to build an enormous base and prepare a defensive system against the Neighbors. it's been four years since then.<\/em><\/p>\n
