If unwanted friend requests on the Nintendo Switch are getting on your nerves, it\u2019s easy to disable them completely in Settings without affecting your current friend list. Best of all, you can still add friends later if you need to. Here\u2019s how to\u00a0 do it.<\/p>\n

First, on the Nintendo Switch Home Menu, select your user profile icon in the upper-left corner of the screen.<\/p>\n

In the sidebar menu of your profile page, select \u201cUser Settings.\u201d<\/p>\n

In \u201cUser Settings,\u201d scroll down the page and locate the \u201cFriend Functions\u201d section. Select \u201cFriend Settings.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"In<\/p>\n

In \u201cFriend Settings,\u201d toggle \u201cReceive Friend Requests\u201d to \u201cOff.\u201d This turns off friend requests.<\/p>\n

After that, press the \u201cB\u201d button several times to exit the \u201cUser Settings\u201d Menu.<\/p>\n

With \u201cReceive Friend Requests\u201d set to \u201cOff,\u201d you will no longer receive friend requests. But you can still add a friend by using the features on the Profile > Add Friend page, including exchanging a friend code or searching for local users. Have fun!<\/p>\n
