{"id":137621,"date":"2020-12-19T23:44:22","date_gmt":"2020-12-19T20:44:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/ex-cyber-official-escapes-blame-for-government-hack\/"},"modified":"2020-12-19T23:44:22","modified_gmt":"2020-12-19T20:44:22","slug":"ex-cyber-official-escapes-blame-for-government-hack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/ex-cyber-official-escapes-blame-for-government-hack\/","title":{"rendered":"#Ex-cyber official escapes blame for government hack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Ex-cyber official escapes blame for government hack<\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/12\/Christopher-Krebs-blowback.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>It\u2019s the hack attack that lacks blowback.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Krebs was the director of the federal government\u2019s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in March, when a massive breach of the nation\u2019s computer systems \u2014 allegedly conducted by Russia \u2014 took hold and began to spread.<\/p>\n<p>But while Krebs became a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> darling last month, when he was fired by President Trump for naysaying the boss\u2019s accusations of widespread election fraud, he has escaped any blame for the damaging breach.<\/p>\n<p>Trump used Twitter this week to launch a fresh attack on Krebs \u2014 not for the cyberattack<strong> <\/strong>on the SolarWinds server software that was revealed Sunday, but for the former aide\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>earance at a Senate committee hearing on election security.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChris Krebs was totally excoriated and proven wrong at the Senate Hearing on the Fraudulent 2020 Election,\u201d Trump <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1339281950490697729\">insisted <\/a>Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>But he has refrained from pinning any blame for the cyber intrusion on Krebs, who served as the first and only director of CISA, a division within the Department of Homeland Security that was formed in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Senators <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/christoper-krebs-cisa-trump-media-hack-elections\">held off from grilling<\/a> Krebs on the breach when he appeared on Capitol Hill for Wednesday\u2019s election hearing, Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>And Krebs himself has taken no responsibility for his failure to protect against \u2014 or, apparently, to detect \u2014 the months-long hack attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have the utmost confidence in the @CISAgov team and other Federal partners,\u201d Krebs <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/C_C_Krebs\/status\/1338249463949893634\">tweeted Sunday<\/a>, as the news broke. \u201cI\u2019m sorry I\u2019m not there with them, but they know how to do this.\u201d\n            <\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
