“#NYC pup allegedly dognapp<\/a>ed twice by owner’s ex-lovers<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

This couple is like a dog with a bone when it comes to their beloved pup, who has allegedly been dognapped by the ex-lovers not once, but twice, a new lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n

Saylor, a golden-yellow mutt, is the object of obsessive affection between L.A. video producer Aaron Freeman and his ex, former Daily Beast marketing exec Trevor Jacobson, of Manhattan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Freeman says he\u2019s been a dedicated doggie daddy ever since he adopted Saylor, even agreeing to share his fur-baby with Jacobson when they broke up in 2015.<\/p>\n

All went well until he decided to leave the Big Apple.<\/p>\n

Freeman left for L.A. in February 2019, asking Jacobson to take Saylor for a few months while he relocated, he claims.<\/p>\n

But Jacobson ultimately refused to give up Saylor, Freeman charges in a Manhattan Federal Court lawsuit.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI am keeping him and no longer going to share him with you,\u201d Jacobson allegedly told Freeman.<\/p>\n

Jacobson denied the allegations, accusing Freeman of harassment and calling the litigation \u201coutlandish.\u201d He claims Freeman abandoned Saylor.<\/p>\n

Freeman says he travel<\/a>ed to New York in October 2019, picking Saylor up for what was to be a weekend visit \u2014 then secretly flew back to Los Angeles with the mutt in a JetBlue Mint class private suite, according to court papers.<\/p>\n

Two days later, Freeman called Jacobson, telling him Saylor was now a West Coast dog.<\/p>\n

\u201cBetter watch your back,\u201d an infuriated Jacobson allegedly replied.<\/p>\n

Nearly three weeks later, Freeman was walking Saylor near his Toluca Lake apartment when, he claims, a stranger grabbed him, pressed a hard object against him, and ordered: \u201cDon\u2019t say anything or the dog will get hurt,\u201d according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

Then, a second man appeared from behind a parked car, snatched Saylor and jumped into the vehicle\u2019s back seat, as Saylor was \u201cwhining and howling in distress,\u201d Freeman charges in the legal filing. The car sped off.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when he realized one of the dognappers was Jacobson\u2019s current boyfriend, Jordan Usdin, claims Freeman.<\/p>\n

The 20-second drama was allegedly caught on surveillance video from a nearby apartment complex. Freeman\u2019s lawyer refused to share the clip.<\/p>\n

Usdin denied any dognapping. \u201cNothing happened regarding mugging or stealing or taking the dog in the way he described,\u201d said Usdin, who also refused to share footage of the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the end of the day, we retrieved the dog from Los Angeles,\u201d Jacobson told The Post. \u201cAaron is making false accusations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Freeman denied abandoning Saylor, said his lawyer, Steven Warshawsky, who called Jacobson and Usdin\u2019s version of events in L.A. \u201claughable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Freeman is suing Jacobson and Usdin for unspecified damages and wants a judge to give Saylor back to him.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
