Two people and their service dog used the emergency slide to slip out of an airplane that was preparing to take off from LaGuardia Airport on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

The passengers opened a cabin door, activating the slide, and took off as the Delta flight bound for Atlanta, Ga., was taxiing\u00a0out of the runway, an airline spokesman said.<\/p>\n

The pair was taken into custody by Port Authority Police, but hadn\u2019t been charged as of Monday evening, WPIX-TV reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brian Plummer, who was also on Flight 462, told The New York Times<\/a> he spotted the man, woman and their pooch changing seats several times as the plane was preparing to depart.<\/p>\n

Then, the man shot up from his seat, telling a flight attendant he couldn\u2019t sit down because of his post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I sit down, I\u2019ll freak out,\u201d the man said, according to Plummer.<\/p>\n

No one was injured in the incident. <\/p>\n

The plane, which had been scheduled to take off shortly before 10 a.m., returned to the gate where the rest of the passengers were put on other flights, the airline spokesman said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaintenance technicians have evaluated the aircraft and is scheduled to return to service this evening,\u201d he added in a statement.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
