A man was arrested early Monday after he tried to grab a cop\u2019s gun \u2014 and then punched the officer \u2014 at ABC Studios in Midtown, police sources said.<\/p>\n

The uniformed NYPD cop was working security for the network at their studios on 44th Street and Seventh Avenue when, at around 3:30 a.m., Aohua Yang allegedly app<\/a>roached and asked what the last stop on the R train was.<\/p>\n

As the officer searched for the answer, Yang, 23, allegedly went for his gun.<\/p>\n

But Yang was unable to get the firearm out of its holster \u2014 and then slugged the cop, according to the sources.<\/p>\n

The officer restrained Yang as he called for backup. <\/p>\n

The Brooklyn resident was placed in custody and taken to NYU hospital to be treated for pain to his elbow and a small cut to his left hand.<\/p>\n

It was unclear whether he had been charged as of Monday night.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
