There\u2019s buzz again in Hollywood that \u201cSex and the City\u201d is coming back. <\/p>\n

A well-placed industry insider exclusively tells Page Six that the hit franchise will return to the small screen, with a limited series<\/a> reboot coming to HBO Max, and would include all the original stars \u2014 except Kim Cattrall, who has repeatedly said she is not interested in returning. <\/p>\n

Last September, Sarah Jessica Parker, who was also a producer on the HBO show, told Entertainment Tonight <\/a>that she\u2019d be interested in doing \u201csome episodes of \u2018Sex and the City,’\u201d but, \u201cI wouldn\u2019t call it a reboot, I would call it a \u2018revisit.’\u201d <\/p>\n

Parker \u2014 channeling her \u201cSATC\u201d character, \u201ccouldn\u2019t help but wonder\u201d \u2013 adding, \u00a0\u201cI\u2019d like to see where all of them are. I\u2019m curious, the world has changed even since the movie\u2026 technology<\/a> and social media<\/a>.\u201d Add to that, \u201csexual politics and the #MeToo movement and Time\u2019s Up\u2026 I think Carrie Bradshaw would just be so greedy to share her feelings and thoughts.\u201d <\/p>\n

Cattrall, who played p.r. powerhouse Samantha Jones, has feuded publicly with Parker in the past, and plans for a third feature film for the series fizzled.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2018, when Parker expressed condolences for the death of Cattrall\u2019s brother, Cattrall posted, \u201cYour continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. \u201d She also said via Instagram, \u201cLet me make this VERY clear. (If I haven\u2019t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend.\u201d <\/p>\n

Parker has tried to defuse any tension, telling fans in 2018 of Cattrall: \u201cNot sure if I can imagine doing another movie without her,\u201d and insisting, there is no \u201ccatfight.\u201d <\/p>\n

In 2017, Cattrall had said her choice <\/a>not to take part in the reunion was not over money or diva demands, but, \u201can empowered decision in my life to end one chapter and start another\u201d.<\/p>\n

Reps for HBO Max and Parker did not get back to us.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
