{"id":140588,"date":"2020-12-24T01:32:33","date_gmt":"2020-12-23T22:32:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/morocco-foreign-minster-urges-biden-to-keep-trump-deal\/"},"modified":"2020-12-24T01:32:33","modified_gmt":"2020-12-23T22:32:33","slug":"morocco-foreign-minster-urges-biden-to-keep-trump-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/morocco-foreign-minster-urges-biden-to-keep-trump-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"#Morocco foreign minster urges Biden to keep Trump deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Morocco foreign minster urges Biden to keep Trump deal<\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/12\/nasser-bourita.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Morocco\u2019s foreign minister is urging the incoming Biden administration to preserve a deal by President Trump to establish relations with Israel, according to a report. <\/p>\n<p>Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita said the deal, which was sealed by Trump in early December, would be a step toward resuming diplomatic relations with Israel, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/morocco-biden-keep-western-sahara-israel-deal-4e84ddd3-bb96-4b93-94ed-8999438663f4.html\">Axios reported<\/a> Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>The deal states that Morocco agrees to establish relations with Israel in exchange for the U.S. agreeing to recognize Moroccan sovereignty over the Western Sahara territory. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope the next administration will continue this positive dynamic and nourish what we have built because it was done for peace,\u201d Bourita told Axios. \u201cWhat we have here is a package which was signed and the first commitment that everyone made was to defend, promote and upgrade this package.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morocco and Israel worry the deal would fall apart if President-elect Biden plans to roll it back after he takes office in January.<\/p>\n<p>Biden hasn\u2019t publicly expressed if he agrees or disagrees with Trump\u2019s deal. <\/p>\n<p>Trump called the deal a \u201cmassive breakthrough\u201d that would bring peace to the Middle East. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnother HISTORIC breakthrough today!
