The 30-year bond yield<br \/>\n        TMUBMUSD30Y,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.000%\" channel=\"\" class=\"\">1.675%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       slid 2.4 basis points to 1.674. <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whats_driving_Treasurys\"><\/span>What\u2019s driving Treasurys?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p> Washington lawmakers were still haggling over a pandemic relief package on Monday, after President Donald Trump said he wanted the bill amended to include more generous direct checks to individuals.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, House Republicans blocked a bill proposed by Democrats that would have sent $2,000 checks to individuals as part of the coronavirus financial aid package. <\/p>\n<p>Negotiators agreed on a Brexit trade deal on Thursday before the Dec. 31 deadline.
