It\u2019s a new opportunity for me to start a new relationship with Houston. I\u2019m excited about it. I had a lot of fun things for the kids I think they\u2019ll appreciate and enjoy it.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The city is additionally teaming up with 17 restaurants to prepare meals to go to help those hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt benefits our restaurants, it benefits the people who need it,\u201d Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said. \u201c25,000 prepared meals will be available in addition to all the other things that people can get on Christmas Eve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event will take place on Christmas Eve (December 24) at the George R.
