Grazella has posted a 2020 retrospective article<\/a> looking back on the company\u2019s 14 biggest news<\/a> stories of the year, one of which is the release of the PC version of Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories<\/em> in April in Japan, as well as deals on the previously released PlayStation 4 and Switch versions. The end of that news story teases an unannounced Disaster Report 5<\/em>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The tease reads:<\/p>\n

Rumors of a \u201c5<\/em>\u201c<\/strong><\/p>\n

There might be some of you saying \u201cAll you have to say are advertisements?,\u201d so I will share a bit about our next title.<\/p>\n

According to information I acquired from sources I am unable to disclose, planning and partial prototyping for Disaster Report 5<\/em> seems to have already begun.<\/p>\n

As for whether or not \u201cStiver Island\u201d (Capital Island) is involved in the story this time\u2026 I\u2019ll leave it at that for now as I\u2019d rather not lose my job.<\/p>\n

While this is not Granzella\u2019s first tease of Disaster Report 5<\/em>, it is the most official.<\/p>\n

In the Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories<\/em> download<\/a>able content \u201cEpilogue Part 2,\u201d a customer standing around reading in a convenience store tells you, \u201cIt seems Disaster Report 5<\/em> takes place between the first and second game<\/a>s\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, in the main story, there is a part where you can ask another character to change the game\u2019s title in exchange for an item. You are given three options, \u201cDisaster Report 5<\/em>\u201d or Disaster Report 4<\/em> with different subtitles. Choosing the former changes the game\u2019s title to \u201cDisaster Report 5<\/em>?\u201d on the main menu and loading screens (pictured above).<\/p>\n

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories<\/em> first launched for PlayStation 4 in November 2018 in Japan, followed by Switch in September 2019, and PC via Steam<\/a> in April 2020 alongside the global launch of the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions.<\/p><\/div>\n
