Playboi Carti\u2019s new album has fans seeing red.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhole Lotta Red\u201d is Carti\u2019s much-anticipated second album, a follow-up to \u201cDie Lit,\u201d his debut released in 2018 that climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard charts. But the two dozen new tracks \u2014 including collabs with Kanye West and Kid Cudi \u2014 are being received like a lump of coal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m begging you, stop making music,\u201d implored one disappointed<\/a> fan in an expletive-filled rant. Another claimed <\/a>the lackluster music would \u201cruin christmas.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Unhapp<\/a>y listeners on social media<\/a> additionally vented their frustration by retooling the album title and calling it \u201cWhole Lotta Skips<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n

Even Iggy Azalea, the mother of Playboi Carti\u2019s son Onyx<\/a>, got in on the pile-on<\/a>, ripping into the hip-hop artist for missing their child\u2019s first Christmas. \u201cToo bad you got an album out but can\u2019t even come to Christmas with your own son,\u201d sneered<\/a> the \u201cFancy\u201d singer in a series<\/a> of tweets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTo clarify this man was literally at my house last night telling me he loves me,\u201d added the Australian singer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old mumble rapper \u2014 whose real name is Jordan Terrell Carter \u2014 released the art for his sophomore album earlier this week, writing online<\/a>, \u201cI t0LD U ! I L0v3 u, PRE 0RDeR NOW.\u201d Cover art for the fast-paced music includes a vampy portrait of the Atlanta-born artist, who is a disciple of A$AP Rocky and known for his punk-goth style. Promotional swag<\/a> alongside the album release includes $20 vampire fangs, satanic T-shirts and a \u201cBloodsucker\u201d skate deck for $100.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Last month Carti appeared on popular tracks alongside Lil Yachty on that singer\u2019s deluxe album, \u201cLil Yachty 3.5,\u201d along with Future. He also made an appearance on Drake\u2019s \u201cPain 1993\u201d single earlier this year. Those songs were well-received \u2014 unlike the batch of collaborations on \u201cWhole Lotta Red,\u201d which include \u201cGo2DaMoon\u201d with Kanye West, who raps, \u201cI promised Playboi we\u2019d get the tape out before the weekend.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhole Lotta Red\u201d also features a duet with Future, \u201cTeen X,\u201d and a cameo by Kid Cudi, as well as solo performances in songs like \u201cF33l Lik3 Dyin\u201d and \u201cMeh.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, some fans are actually willing to give the SoundCloud star a second chance, crossing their fingers for the release of a more satisfying special edition album. Wrote one hopeful stan<\/a>, \u201cLet\u2019s pray carti adds all the leaks to the deluxe.\u201d <\/p>\n
