A popular Texas resort was in lockdown Friday night after reports of a possible active shooter.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement swarmed the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine after 10 p.m. local time, and placed the hotel on lockdown as a precaution, Grapevine Police said on Twitter<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are searching each room while families wait in a secure part of the resort,\u201d the cops tweeted two hours later.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur officers are responding to an active threat call at Great Wolf Lodge,\u201d the Grapevine Police announced on Twitter<\/a> at 10 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are no injuries reported, but we are still on scene and searching the area.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The lodge tweeted to the local CBS station that police were called after someone \u201cmade concerning statements threatening the safety of our guests;\u201d that person was being sought, the tweet said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the safety of our guests, the resort is currently in lockdown & we following [sic] the lead of law enforcement.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Grapevine is a suburb located just north of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.<\/p>\n

The Great Wolf Lodge is an indoor water park and resort, according to its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A guest staying at the lodge told KTVT<\/a> that a text sent by the hotel warned customers not to leave their rooms amid reports of a possible active shooter. <\/p>\n

Great Wolf Lodge told the outlet law enforcement is investigating the scene.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
