A New Jersey hunter was discovered beaten and stabbed to death at a Boy Scout campground, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Joseph Bottino, 54, of Gloucester Township, left home Wednesday to go hunting but never returned, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His body was found around 6:30 p.m. on the Pine Hill Scout Reservation, according to Camden County prosecutor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

Bottino\u2019s family told authorities that he visits the area often to go on hunting expeditions.<\/p>\n

An autopsy on Thursday determined that his death was a homicide caused by \u201cmultiple stab and incised wounds as well as blunt force injuries,\u201d prosecutors said.<\/p>\n

The Boy Scouts of America Garden State Council owns the wooded area where Bottino\u2019s body was found and uses it as a campsite.<\/p>\n
