Cops busted a man in connection with the random Christmas Eve cinder block attack on a member of Gov. Andrew Cuomo\u2019s staff in Midtown Manhattan, police sources told The Post Friday.<\/p>\n

Twenty-eight-year-old Christopher Guzman was charged with second-degree assault for allegedly attacking 51-year-old Lisa Cavanaugh, the sources said.<\/p>\n

Cavanaugh had just left work at Cuomo\u2019s Midtown office and was passing a construction site at Third Avenue near East 48th Street at around 2:15 p.m. when Guzman allegedly crept up behind her and hit her in the back of the head with a concrete block, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n

Cavanaugh was temporarily knocked unconscious, and suffered a two-inch deep laceration to her head. <\/p>\n

She underwent a CAT scan at Bellevue Hospital, where she is expected to survive the attack, the sources said.<\/p>\n

The terrifying daytime attack happ<\/a>ened just six blocks from the governor\u2019s Third Avenue offices.<\/p>\n

Cavanaugh works as a recruitment and appointments officer<\/a> in the executive chamber.\n <\/div>\n
