Finally, you can get important notifications without looking at your phone\u2014and you\u2019ll get unimportant notifications, too. Here\u2019s how to control your watch\u2019s alerts.<\/p>\n<p>While you can configure some of these settings on your Apple Watch, it\u2019s kind of awkward. It\u2019s best to use the Watch app on your iPhone. That\u2019s what we\u2019ll demonstrate in this guide.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Only_Install_the_Apps_You_Want\"><\/span>Only Install the Apps You Want<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Everything starts with the apps you have installed. Even if you don\u2019t have the app installed on your Watch, the notifications may still be mirrored.<\/p>\n<p>In the Watch app, go to \u201cNotifications\u201d and scroll down to \u201cMirror iPhone Alerts From.\u201d Here, you\u2019ll see a list of all the apps you have installed on your iPhone. You can toggle \u201cSound\u201d on or off.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSend to Notification Center\u201d means notifications will be visible in the notification center, but otherwise won\u2019t appear on your wrist. The next step is to set how loudly your watch beeps (but only when you want it to!) and how hard it vibrates.<\/p>\n<p>In the Watch app, go to \u201cSounds &amp; Haptics.\u201d Use the \u201cAlert Volume\u201d slider to set the loudness of the alerts. Under \u201cHaptics,\u201d you can select how firmly your watch vibrates with each notification.
