But the game displays drawings (called \u201cposts\u201d) created by other players. Luckily, there are two ways you can turn these off.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Is_a_Player_Post_in_Splatoon_2\"><\/span>What Is a Player Post in <em>Splatoon 2<\/em>?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Splatoon 2<\/em> is an updated version of <em>Splatoon<\/em>, which first launched for the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wii_U\">Wii U<\/a> in 2015. The Wii U included a touch screen with a stylus and encouraged players to share drawings via a now-defunct online service called Miiverse. As an extension of this idea, <em>Splatoon<\/em> allowed players to draw pictures called \u201cposts\u201d and display them for other users.<\/p>\n<p><em>Splatoon 2<\/em> carries on this tradition. Players can draw and share posts with others. Sometimes, these posts might include messages you don\u2019t want your kids to see. Even adults might find some of them annoying.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, there are two ways you can turn these off.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Turn_Off_Player_Posts_in_the_Splatoon_2_Options_Menu\"><\/span>How to Turn Off Player Posts in the\u00a0<em>Splatoon 2\u00a0<\/em>Options Menu<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The easiest way to disable player posts is in-game. First, launch <em>Splatoon 2<\/em> on your Switch, and then start the game by pressing ZL+ZR. When you see your character and other players in Inkopolis Plaza (the city area), press \u201cX\u201d to open the menu.<\/p>\n<p>Select the \u201cOptions\u201d tab, select \u201cOther\u201d in the sidebar, and then select \u201cOff\u201d next to the \u201cPost Display\u201d option.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-705850\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/xturn_off_player_posts.jpg.pagespeed.gp+jp+jw+pj+ws+js+rj+rp+rw+ri+cp+md.ic.6wvoxj1-gt.jpg\" alt=\"Set the Splatoon 2 &quot;Post Display&quot; option to &quot;Off.&quot;\" width=\"650\" height=\"366\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>You can then exit the menu. You might have to force the game to reload Inkopolis Plaza for the change to take effect. One way to do this is to press the plus sign (+) to look at your inventory. After you exit that menu, the city area will reload, and you\u2019ll no longer see any player drawings.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"admonishment_tip\"><p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> The \u201cPost Display\u201d setting also exists in <em>Splatoon<\/em> on the Wii U, so this method will work in that game as well.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Turn_Off_Player_Posts_in_Splatoon_2_via_Parental_Controls\"><\/span>How to Turn Off Player Posts in <em>Splatoon 2<\/em>\u00a0via Parental Controls<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Obviously, the in-game solution above isn\u2019t foolproof for preventing your kids from seeing or sharing posts in <em>Splatoon 2<\/em>\u2014they can just re-enable the \u201cPost Display\u201d option.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to use a parental-controls solution, and you\u2019ve already registered your Switch with the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls smartphone <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>, just open that app on your phone or device.
