A woman in Missouri fended off four young carjacking suspects \u2013 including an 11-year-old boy \u2013 by pulling out a gun of her own, police said.<\/p>\n

The would-be victim told cops in Wentzville she spotted a group of four youngsters while sitting in her car in a parking lot along the Wentzville Parkway early Saturday when one of them app<\/a>roached her and asked for directions, police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat male subject then produced a firearm and demanded her vehicle,\u201d police said Saturday in a statement<\/a>. \u201cThe female victim produced her own firearm and refused to exit her vehicle, protecting herself and her property.\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman\u2019s brave response prompted the armed suspect and three others with him to run away, but she called cops to \u201ccalmly\u201d provide details of the foiled carjacking attempt to a dispatcher, police said.<\/p>\n

Officers then apprehended four suspects \u2013 a 17-year-old, two 15-year-olds and an 11-year-old \u2014 without incident minutes later.<\/p>\n

One of the 15-year-old suspects had a firearm at the time and was charged with first-degree attempted robbery and armed criminal action, police said.<\/p>\n

The three other suspects are facing charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, while the 17-year-old \u2014 who was charged as an adult \u2014 is also accused of being a minor in possession of alcohol, police said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
