“#Man randomly slashes back of NYC woman’s head<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Startling video released by the NYPD Monday shows the moment a man randomly slashed a woman in the head \u2014 leaving her with a deep gash \u2014 as she walked down a Brooklyn street, cops said.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old woman was at the corner of Fulton Street and Franklin Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 4:20 a.m. Dec. 22 when the man app<\/a>roached her and cut her head with an unknown object, cops said. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe slashed her in the back of the head,\u201d NYPD spokeswoman Detective Denise\u00a0Moroney said. \u201cPrior to her getting assaulted, there was not a verbal exchange.\u201d<\/p>\n

The man ran north on Franklin Avenue, cops said. EMS took the woman to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. She needed six stitches, cops said.<\/p>\n

The man, who can be seen in the video, was described as between 48 and 50 years old, 5 feet 10 and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black coat, a blue sweatshirt and blue sweatpants.<\/p>\n
