A prominent Wall Street analyst says investors shouldn\u2019t hold their breath for an Apple car any time soon. <\/p>\n

Ming-Chi Kuo said in a research note this week that the market is \u201ctoo bullish\u201d on reports of Apple getting into the automotive game<\/a>, and called the rumored 2024 rollout extremely ambitious. <\/p>\n

Indeed, Kuo said that he believes the earliest consumers might see an automobile from the iPhone-maker is 2025, with 2028 looking more likely. <\/p>\n

Reuters reported last week that Apple has set a goal of 2024 to produce a passenger vehicle. Central to Apple\u2019s car ambitions is a new battery design that could \u201cradically\u201d reduce the cost of batteries and increase the EV\u2019s range. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s next level,\u201d one person said of Apple\u2019s battery technology<\/a>. \u201cLike the first time you saw the iPhone.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report made shares of car part manufacturers spike last week, but Kuo has cautioned that the movements appear to be \u201conly speculations by the market and do not involve actual Apple car suppliers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s efforts to get into the car game, dubbed \u201cProject Titan,\u201d kicked off in 2014, but the company later\u00a0drew back the effort to focus on software\u00a0and reassess its goals. Apple veteran,\u00a0Doug Field, a former Tesla executive\u00a0who started his second stint with Apple in 2018, laid off 190 people from the team in 2019.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
