Boston Dynamics robots have attracted a mix of amazement and terror for their diverse range of feats.\u00a0<\/span>The bots have already\u00a0sniffed out bombs<\/a>,\u00a0patrolled oil rigs<\/a>,\u00a0monitored COVID-19 patients<\/a>, done parkour<\/a>, and occasionally fallen over. But the\u00a0company\u2019s latest video shows they can also cut up a rug.<\/p>\n

The Massachusetts-based firm has released a video of its creations throwing shapes (although curiously not the robot) to\u00a0the Motown classic \u201cDo You Love Me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The whole gang has hit the dance floor: there\u2019s the humanoid Atlas shaking its stuff like a past-his-prime John Travolta in an ill-advised Pulp Fiction<\/em> reboot;\u00a0box-stacker Handle rolling along to the rhythm; and\u00a0Spot the\u00a0quadruped\u00a0<\/span>miming the lyrics through a terrifying jaw that looks poised to eject a\u00a0Xenomorph-style<\/a>\u00a0lethal tongue.<\/p>\n

In a shocking breach of social<\/a> distancing guidelines, the quartet dance in unison, app<\/a>arently oblivious to the pandemic that prevents us puny humans from joining the fun. But at least we\u2019re spared the humiliation of getting served<\/a> by insentient objects.<\/p>\n
