\n The Atlanta woman charged with burning down a Wendy\u2019s fast-food restaurant in the wake of Rayshard Brooks\u2019 police shooting death was ordered held on a $10,000 bond at her first court app<\/a>earance Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Natalie White, who has been identified as Brooks\u2019 girlfriend, will also have to wear an ankle bracelet and must stay off social media<\/a> if she is released, Fulton County Magistrate Judge Todd Ashley said.<\/p>\n

Ashley rejected a request from her lawyer, Drew Findling, that she be released without bail because she has no prior criminal record.<\/p>\n

Findling said White\u2019s family \u201cdoesn\u2019t have funds to make any bond.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s look at the danger to the community,\u201d\u00a0Ashley said. \u201cSo if someone is alleged to have set fire to a building with other people around, whether or not the building was occupied or not occupied, that would represent a danger to firefighters if they were able to get to the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat Wendy\u2019s is right next to a gas station,\u201d Ashley said. \u201cThat\u2019s a volatile combination.\u201d<\/p>\n

The judge said White is accused of \u201csetting fire to the structure by using a torch made of a lighter and some type of can.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fulton County Assistant District Attorney Quintin Lewis had asked that White be held on $20,000 bond.<\/p>\n

White is charged with first-degree arson.<\/p>\n

White, 29, was arrested Tuesday after surrendering to police and charged with the June 13 torching of the Atlanta Wendy\u2019s where Brooks was shot and killed by police the previous day.<\/p>\n

Brooks, 27, was questioned by police and scuffled with the cops when they tried to arrest him following a field sobriety test outside the fast-food eatery. He fought with the cops and ran off with one of their Tasers when he was shot twice in the back.<\/p>\n

Brooks referred to White as his \u201cgirlfriend\u201d during the incident, according to police bodycam footage and her lawyer.<\/p>\n

White\u2019s arrest came on the same day as Brooks\u2019 funeral.<\/p>\n

In court Wednesday, Findling said prosecutors\u2019 claim that White lit the fire was \u201cjust a false narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe did not burn the building down,\u201d he said. \u201cShe did not set the building on fire.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
