In a new interview with Parents<\/em> magazine, the mom of 2-year-old Kaavia James Union Wade<\/strong> and stepmom of Zaire<\/strong>, 18, Zaya<\/strong>, 13, and Xavier,<\/strong> 7, admitted she plays the grossest card to get her precious Mommy Minutes:<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t even front. I will claim a gastrointestinal issue so fast to get a little extra time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That is just too real! With a busy household, including both the 48-year-old and Dwyane<\/strong> Wade<\/strong>\u2019s mothers, as well as her niece and sister, sometimes the bathroom is the only place for the NAACP Image Award<\/strong>\u2018s Outstanding Actress to catch some much needed downtime.<\/p>\n

That said, the Bring It On<\/em> alum couldn\u2019t be more grateful for her large support team, emphasizing:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all rely on each other, and we all muddle our way through. And when it gets to be too tough, we offer grace.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The actress opened up about her need for help \u2014 even if just to score her some time by herself \u2014 by acknowledging an often insecure feeling for other parents, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t make you a failure. Needing help does not make you weak or vulnerable \u2014 it just means you need help like everybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Gabrielle and Dwyane may need help, but\u00a0no one<\/em> would call them weak!<\/p>\n

This power couple has made headlines in recent months for their inspiring acceptance of daughter Zaya who recently came out as transgender. Thinking back on life and motherhood, this momma is all for learning from the youth around her, explaining:<\/p>\n

\u201c[I realized] that I don\u2019t have all the answers and that, \u2018I don\u2019t know\u2019 is a real answer that more people should embrace.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
