He also has a passion for pulling back the curtain to reveal the process of filmmaking, which results in the experience being demystified and younger generations being presented with practical knowledge they may not have been able to easily access otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix recently released a new Robert Rodriguez superhero film called <strong><em>We Can Be Heroes<\/em><\/strong> that\u2019s aimed\u00a0squarely at children, and the streamer has since released a featurette with the director describing how the visual effects were accomplished. Behind the scenes featurettes are commonplace, but this one\u2019s different \u2013 it isn\u2019t explicitly stated in the video, but this one seems specifically designed so kids can learn some of the secrets about how filmmaking works.<br \/><span id=\"more-652201\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"We_Can_Be_Heroes_Featurette\"><\/span>We Can Be Heroes Featurette<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Robert Rodriguez Breaks Down The Visual Effects In We Can Be Heroes | Netflix\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_uWbdI3XaBk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Most making-of featurettes are aimed at adults and assume those viewers already have a foundational understanding of the basics of filmmaking. This one <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears to be aimed at the generation of kids who\u2019ve grown up making movies with phones in their hands and who may be inspired to make something bigger and more complicated. Rodriguez narrates the video, explaining his thoughts and methodology behind each of these big moments in his movie in a way that does not sound condescending \u2013 he\u2019s meeting younger audiences on their level, and imparting knowledge that could help them unlock new levels of creativity.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the same thing he did with<em>\u00a0Rebel Without a Crew<\/em>, his 1995 nonfiction book which chronicled in great detail how Rodriguez made <em>El Mariachi<\/em> and how he raised the money to get the project off the ground (he participated in medical studies and sold his own plasma). This video has that same generous spirit to it, that same \u201cI made it through the door, and now I\u2019m going to hold it open for you to follow me instead of slamming it shut again\u201d vibe that flows through his Ten Minute Film School series of bonus features that are found on many of his movies.<\/p>\n<p>Again, I\u2019m not saying Rodriguez is the best director in the world.
