All you have to do is select an app and long-press to bring up the menu. The Google TV experience is largely focused on recommending content for you.<\/p>\n<p>There are a number of ways that you can customize how the home screen looks. Since it\u2019s based so much on recommendations, the best thing to do is help it make those recommendations better. It\u2019s a good idea to put your favorites within easy reach. When you\u2019re setting up the device for the first time, it may ask if you want to use Google Photos in \u201cAmbient Mode.\u201d This is what we normally think of as a \u201cscreen saver.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Setting up the Google Photos screen saver is not actually done on the TV device. Instead, it happens in the Google Home app for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/google-home\/id680819774\">iPhone<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/google-home\/id680819774\">iPad<\/a>, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.chromecast.app\">Android<\/a>. Google TV settings make it hard to find the screen saver options. This isn\u2019t guaranteed to always work, but it\u2019s a good place to start.<\/p>\n<p>As long as you can still navigate the Google TV interface and open the settings, you can restart the device.
