Chrissy Teigen is opening up about her sobriety.<\/p>\n

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the 35-year-old model revealed how Holly Whitaker\u2019s book<\/a>, \u201cQuit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol,\u201d contributed to her decision to get sober.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne month ago, on my birthday, I got this book from my doctor and friend,\u201d Teigen began on her Instagram Story.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was done with making an ass of myself in front of people (I\u2019m still embarrassed), tired of day drinking and feeling like s\u2013t by 6, not being able to sleep,\u201d she continued. \u201cI have been sober ever since and even if you can\u2019t see yourself doing it or just plain don\u2019t want to, it is still an incredible read.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Teigen confirmed that she\u2019s been sober for a month. Following the revelation, the cookbook author received a slew of supportive messages from fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just got sober as well!! Beautiful!!! I love this!!\u201d one commented on social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeep going beautiful! One day at a time,\u201d another replied.<\/p>\n

Teigen, the wife of singer John Legend, 42, has experienced difficulties in recent months, revealing in October she suffered a pregnancy loss.<\/p>\n

The couple, who share daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2, honored their late son Jack with tattoo tributes.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Teigen has spoken out about her drinking. In 2017, Teigen told Cosmopolitan<\/a> she had been \u201cdrinking too much.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine. Then that glass of wine would carry over into me having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show. And then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected,\u201d Teigen said at the time.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
