About 150 protesters blocked traffic in front of St. Patrick\u2019s Cathedral early on New Year\u2019s Day \u2014 and someone marred the facade of the church with graffiti during the demonstration, according to cops.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police responded to a disorderly group of protesters at 51st Street and Fifth Avenue around 1:30 a.m., cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Video posted to Twitter<\/a> by freelance reporter Oliya Scootercaster shows the group standing in front of police cars \u2014 which had their lights and sirens on \u2014 blocking their way. Some protesters pounded on the hoods of the cruisers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police could not confirm the group involved in the protest, but Scootercaster identified them as affiliated with Black Trans Lives Matter, and posted a video<\/a> of them chanting, \u201cGod is non-binary!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

While inspecting the scene, cops found the letters \u201cACAB\u201d \u2014 which stands for \u201cAll Cops are Bad\u201d \u2014 newly graffitied<\/a> on the facade of the cathedral, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The crowd ultimately dispersed and no one was arrested on scene, authorities said.\u00a0\n <\/p><\/div>\n
