Ben Chafin died Friday from COVID-19 complications.<\/p>\n<p>Chafin\u2019s office confirmed his death in a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> release <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wjhl.com\/news\/local\/virginia-state-sen-ben-chafin-dies-from-covid-19-complications\/\">obtained by WJHL<\/a>, saying the 60-year-old lawmaker had been hospitalized for the past two weeks at VCU Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>The senator is survived by his wife and three children, the report said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the tragic news, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam paid homage to Chafin, calling him a \u201cstrong advocate\u201d and a \u201cgood man.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe loved the outdoors, and he loved serving people even more. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe pushed hard to bring jobs and investment to his district, and I will always be grateful for his courageous vote to expand health care for people who need it,\u201d Northam said of Chafin in a statement obtained by the news outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chafin served the state since 2013, when he was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The following year he was elected to state Senate.\n            <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
