Dorit Kemsley feels for the embattled Hilaria Baldwin, having experienced scrutiny over her accent in the past.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, the \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d star, 44, weighed in on recent controversy involving 36-year-old Baldwin, who is currently embroiled in a Spanish heritage scandal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel bad for what she\u2019s going through in the press at the moment. I don\u2019t think she deserves it,\u201d Kemsley said Saturday on her Instagram story.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had so much scrutiny over the way I speak, I\u2019ve learned to ignore all the noise but at first it was really hurtful. I\u2019m sure all of this backlash has been hard on her,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

Kemsley added while she doesn\u2019t know Alec Baldwin\u2019s wife personally, she\u2019s looking forward to her social media<\/a> return.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know her but I\u2019ve followed her for years and I hope she\u2019s back on social media soon,\u201d Kemsley wrote.<\/p>\n

The Bravo star added she\u2019s hopeful online trolls back off in the new year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would love to see less trolling and bullying on social media in 2021. If you have nothing nice to say, don\u2019t say anything at all,\u201d Kemsley concluded.<\/p>\n

Recently, Baldwin has defended her fluctuating Spanish accent, and also admitted to being born in Boston as Hillary, and not Mallorca, Spain, as Hilaria.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s been some questions about where I\u2019m born, I\u2019m born in Boston \u2026 I spent some of my childhood in Boston, some of my childhood in Spain, my family, my brother, my parents, my nephew, everybody is over there in Spain now, I\u2019m here,\u201d Baldwin said in an Instagram video last week.<\/p>\n

Kemsley, who joined the cast of the \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d in Season 7, addressed questions about her own accent in a 2017 interview with Bravo\u2019s Daily Dish<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u00a0think the way I speak is probably a combination of many things.\u00a0First and foremost, I am married to a Brit\u00a0who\u2019s got a very, very strong London accent, and I\u2019m sure some of his inflections have sort of rolled over on me,\u201d Kemsley said of her husband Paul Kemsley, also known as PK.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy parents are not American. I was born and raised in America. I did spend a significant amount of time, nearly 10 years, back and forth going to Europe,\u201d she added at the time.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
