The Shortcuts app on the Apple Watch lets you trigger shortcuts directly from the wrist. And as the shortcuts run on the Watch itself, there\u2019s no need to touch your iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>Apple Watch users who are running watchOS 7 and higher can access the Shortcuts app on their wearable. This works seamlessly with the Shortcuts app on the iPhone.<\/p>\n<p>The Shortcuts app automatically categorizes shortcuts that can work on the Apple Watch and makes it available on your wrist. This means you won\u2019t need to create separate shortcuts just for your Apple Watch.<\/p>\n<p>Shortcuts can be triggered from both the Shortcuts app and from watch face complications. Use the Digital Crown to scroll through the list. If it does require an input, you\u2019ll be prompted to make the selection in the Shortcuts app itself.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s how simple it is to trigger shortcuts from the Apple Watch.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Trigger_Shortcuts_from_a_Watch_Face\"><\/span>Trigger Shortcuts from a Watch Face<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Shortcuts app is quite simple, but there\u2019s an even faster way to trigger shortcuts. And that\u2019s using the watch face complication. Thanks to the new complication framework, you can add multiple complications from the same app to the watch face.<\/p>\n<p>This means you can create a watch face with up to eight shortcuts (using the Infograph watch face).<\/p>\n<p>To add a shortcut (or the Shortcuts app) as a complication, tap and hold the watch face and then tap the \u201cEdit\u201d button.<\/p>\n<p>Swipe left to go to the \u201cComplications\u201d section and select the complication you want to change.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-702882\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/xEdit-Watch-Face-and-Complication-on-Apple-Watch.png.pagespeed.gp+jp+jw+pj+ws+js+rj+rp+rw+ri+cp+md.ic.3_iIQTIcTj.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"300\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Use the Digital Crown to scroll through the list. Here, find the \u201cShortcuts\u201d section. You\u2019ll now see the first three available shortcuts here. Tap the \u201cMove\u201d button to see all available shortcuts.<\/p>\n<p>Now, you can choose a particular shortcut that you want to add to the watch face.
