FuRyu filed a logo trademark for \u201cCaligula 2<\/em><\/a>\u201d in Japan on December 10, 2020. <\/span><\/p>\n

The original Caligula<\/em>, titled The Caligula Effect<\/em> in the west, first launched for PS Vita in June 2016 in Japan followed by May 2017 in the west. A remake subtitled Overdose<\/em> followed for PlayStation 4 in May 2018 in Japan, and PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam<\/a> in March 2019 worldwide.<\/p>\n

While a sequel has yet to be officially announced, The Caligula Effect<\/em> series<\/a> producer Takuya Yamanaka teased a sequel back in June 2020.<\/p>\n

In related news<\/a>, Bandai Namco Entertainment filed trademarks for \u201cPlatinum Edition\u201d in English<\/a> and Japanese<\/a> on December 16, as well as \u201cMaou to Ryuu no Kenkokutan<\/a>\u201d (The Tale of the Demon King and Birth of the Dragon Nation).<\/p><\/div>\n
