An NYPD officer opened fire on a man who lunged at police with a knife in Brooklyn on Monday night, sources said.<\/p>\n

Nobody was struck by the gunfire in the confrontation at Hawthorne Street near Albany Avenue in East Flatbush at about 7:45 p.m., according to sources.<\/p>\n

Police were called to the location for a reported domestic dispute.<\/p>\n

One officer fired off several shots at the armed suspect.<\/p>\n

The man was app<\/a>rehended at the scene and taken to Kings County Hospital, sources said.<\/p>\n

Sources said the man has an arrest history dating back to 2010.<\/p>\n

Several officers were taken to Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center for evaluation.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
