There\u2019s a lot to take into account when it comes to streaming, from the software you\u2019re using to the hardware currently in your PC. It can be a lot to research if you want to do it right, but don\u2019t worry\u2014we\u2019ve got the basics covered for you.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, you won\u2019t need everything in this article, depending on what type of streaming you\u2019re doing. For example, if you don\u2019t want to show your face you can just skip over the webcam section no problem. However, if you\u2019re looking to deliver a quality viewing experience for those tuning in, then paying attention to the smaller details when it comes to audio and video helps a lot.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Check_Your_Hardware\"><\/span>Check Your Hardware<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Streaming isn\u2019t an easy task for your computer to perform. It requires a lot of processing power to stream regardless if you\u2019re streaming <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s or just a webcam feed. You\u2019re going to need a reasonably powerful\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/694869\/what-is-a-cpu-and-what-does-it-do\/\">CPU<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/702766\/what-is-a-gpu-graphics-processing-units-explained\/\">GPU<\/a>\u00a0even at the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re currently running on integrated graphics from your CPU, your stream probably won\u2019t look the greatest (assuming you get it running at all). And if you\u2019re already having issues running the games you want to stream, then that should be a good indicator you need a PC upgrade before getting started. Having the computational power to support your stream is crucial for providing a clear and smooth transmission (alongside your internet connection). A lot goes into how your audio sounds, from the microphone you use (which we\u2019ll cover soon) to the room you\u2019re streaming in. The two main issues you\u2019re fighting against are background noise and echo. Turning off items like fans and making sure your doors and windows are closed are good steps to fight the former, but echo is a trickier beast to tackle.<\/p>\n<p>First off, echo is largely dependant on where you\u2019re streaming. Small rooms with a lot of furniture will naturally cut out a lot of echo already, while large spacious rooms will produce loads of it. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Acoustic-Soundproof-Insulation-Absorbing-Mushroom\/dp\/B07X47P9GC\/ref=?tag=reviewgeek-20\">Acoustic foam<\/a> is the easiest solution to this problem; placing some on the walls cuts out echo and provides a clearer sound when streaming. It\u2019s especially common when you say any word with a \u201cP\u201d sound in it. While you might have a webcam or headset you\u2019re currently using as a mic, spending a bit on a good microphone boosts the quality of your stream a lot. We\u2019re going to be going over a few starter friendly options here, mostly USB microphones for their plug-n-play nature.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/404747\/what-is-an-xlr-microphone-and-why-do-i-want-one\/\">XLR microphones<\/a> are still worth looking at and provide higher quality audio than USB mics. They typically require audio interfaces to work properly, which is another can of worms, but the one XLR mic featured here, the Shure SM58-LC, doesn\u2019t require such complications. We\u2019ll get back to that soon though.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Blue-Snowball-Condenser-Microphone-Cardioid\/dp\/B014PYGTUQ\/ref=?tag=reviewgeek-20\">Blue Snowball<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>For the money, the Blue Snowball is one of the best microphones you can pick up. While it looks a bit unusual for a microphone, it delivers on solid audio quality and is a great starting place for new streamers. There aren\u2019t any unique features to speak of\u2014all you can do <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bluemic.com%2Fen-us%2Fproducts%2Fsherpa%2F&amp;key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482\">software-wise<\/a> is adjust the mic gain\u2014but it\u2019s still one of the best microphones on the market.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/HyperX-SoloCast-Microphone-Tap-Mute\/dp\/B08KFL3SFV\/ref=?tag=reviewgeek-20\">HyperX SoloCast<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>If you\u2019re looking for a more compact microphone, the SoloCast is a part of the popular new breed of mini microphones. It packs plenty of features into its multipurpose dial including gain adjustment, a mute mic shortcut, and blending your computer and microphone audio dynamically. It\u2019s an all-around great microphone if you want to sound good without stepping into XLR microphones.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Shure-SM58-LC-Cardioid-Dynamic-Microphone\/dp\/B000CZ0R42\/ref=?tag=reviewgeek-20\">Shure SM58-LC<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>XLR microphones can be tricky to set up properly, but the Shure SM58-LC is a simple entry-level option that doesn\u2019t cost an arm and a leg. It\u2019s a dynamic microphone, so it doesn\u2019t require an audio interface to work for live recordings. The StreamCam is a versatile webcam that can film in both vertical and horizontal formats, records at 1080p, 60 FPS, and features auto-focus and auto-exposure settings through <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.logitech.com%2Fen-us%2Fproduct%2Fcapture&amp;key=204a528a336ede4177fff0d84a044482\">Logitech Capture<\/a>. It doesn\u2019t have any flashy features, but it\u2019s an all-around great webcam that should serve your streaming needs well.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Your Phone:\u00a0<\/strong>Your phone is likely packing a pretty great camera, so why not use it? Through <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.elgato.com\/en\/epoccam\">EpocCam<\/a>, you can use your iPhone as a wireless webcam for your streams. It\u2019s simple, looks great, and won\u2019t cost a dime.
