A mugger broke an 83-year-old woman\u2019s elbow as he grabbed her purse and threw her to the ground in Queens this week, cops said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The woman was walking home at 5:15 p.m. Sunday when a stranger got out of a dark-colored SUV, grabbed her purse and hurled her to the ground on Queens Boulevard near 112th Street in Forest Hills, authorities said late Monday.<\/p>\n

The attacker then got back in his ride with the senior\u2019s purse \u2014 which held $50, an ID card, bank cards and an iPhone, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital \u2013 Queens in stable condition with a broken elbow.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The suspect was later captured on surveillance video as he attempted, unsuccessfully, to use one of the victim\u2019s bank cards at a bodega on East 167th Street in the Concourse section of the Bronx.\u00a0<\/p>\n
