“#Marvel’s What If Series<\/a> Cast Will Include Plenty of MCU Cameos \u2013 \/Film<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\"Marvel's<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no secret that Marvel\u2019s What If\u2026?<\/em><\/strong> animated series is bringing in the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to help tell alternate stories featuring the heroes and villains they\u2019ve played on the big screen. Chris Hemsworth<\/strong>, Mark Ruffalo<\/strong>, Paul Rudd<\/strong>, Sebastian Stan<\/strong>, Jeremy Renner<\/strong>, Tom Hiddleston<\/strong>, the late Chadwick Boseman<\/strong>, and more will all reprise their Marvel characters in various parallel universe takes on Thor, Hulk, Ant-Man, Hawkeye, The Winter Soldier, Loki and Black Panther. But there will also be plenty of other cameos by actors and actresses from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.<\/span><\/p>\n

What If\u2026? <\/em>head writer\u00a0A.C. Bradley<\/strong> recently responded to a question on Twitter<\/a> about the show\u2019s cast:<\/p>\n

Spoilers! But I can say that there are more than a few surprising MCU cameos\u2026 and characters can and do pop up in more than one episode!<\/p>\n

\nHaving a variety of other Marvel Cinematic Universe cameos in What If\u2026?<\/em> makes perfect sense when you consider what the series is doing with the characters we\u2019re all familiar with. Bradley previously explained (via Discussing Film<\/a>) how we\u2019ll end up seeing so many MCU characters throughout these episodes, even if they aren\u2019t explicitly focused on them. The writer said:<\/p>\n

\u201cKevin said that we will be exploring every movie in a new way, but not every episode is about one movie if that makes sense. On the reel, there is this image of a Star-Lord T\u2019Challa because we wanted to see what if the worlds of\u00a0Black Panther<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em>\u00a0collided? That was taking two universes, two to three movies, kind of twisting them in new ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So even though Chadwick Boseman will be the star of that episode, it\u2019s not out of the realm of possibility for us to also hear Black Panther<\/em> co-stars Letitia Wright<\/strong> as Shuri or Luipta Nyong\u2019o<\/strong> as Nakia, though they haven\u2019t been named among the cast yet. We already know Michael Rooker<\/strong> is back as Yondu along with Sean Gunn<\/strong> as Kraglin, but perhaps more Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em> cast members will pop up, too. No one is off limits for a series like this, especially with characters popping up in multiple episodes.<\/p>\n
