The deputy editor-in-chief of The Sun is crossing the Atlantic in March to head the New York Post Group as the paper grows its digital presence.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Keith Poole is the first person to be tapp<\/a>ed as editor-in-chief of the New York Post Group, where he will oversee the two top editors, Stephen Lynch, editor-in-chief of the print edition, and Michelle Gotthelf, editor-in-chief of digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Poole joined The Sun in 2016 as digital editor, helping to build it into the UK\u2019s largest digital-news<\/a> brand. The London-based tabloid is owned by News Corp., which also owns The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prior to joining The Sun, Poole worked for more than a dozen years at the Daily Mail, another UK paper, including a stint as managing editor of the MailOnline in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Col Allan, former editor-in-chief of The Post who has served as a senior adviser since 2019, will retire in early March.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always admired the bold and brash journalism of the New York Post, and to now be a part of this legendary organization is a dream come true for a journalist like me,\u201d Poole said in a statement<\/a>.\u00a0\n <\/div>\n
