{"id":148990,"date":"2021-01-07T08:49:13","date_gmt":"2021-01-07T05:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/two-arrested-during-protests-near-trump-tower-in-nyc\/"},"modified":"2021-01-07T08:49:13","modified_gmt":"2021-01-07T05:49:13","slug":"two-arrested-during-protests-near-trump-tower-in-nyc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/two-arrested-during-protests-near-trump-tower-in-nyc\/","title":{"rendered":"#Two arrested during protests near Trump Tower in NYC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Two arrested during protests near Trump Tower in NYC<\/strong>&#8221;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/01\/BLM_Rally_1.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two people were arrested during protests near Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan Wednesday night, The Post has learned. <\/p>\n<p>The two individuals were arrested for disorderly conduct, according to a law enforcement source.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of anti-Trump and Black Lives Matter protesters stood in front of barricades on Fifth Avenue and 57th Street as several NYPD officers in face masks and shields surrounded Trump Tower.<\/p>\n<p>Protestor Jimmy Brewer, who lives in Brooklyn, said he was \u201cdisgusted\u201d by Wednesday\u2019s events in Washington, D.C. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m disgusted by this country, dude,\u201d Brewer, 25, told The Post. \u201cWhat I saw today was just a blatant disregard for fellow Americans and democratic norms.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Video of the scene <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AbolitionPark\/status\/1347020434190061569\">posted to social media<\/a> shows several officers trying to get a hold of the protesters, who can be seen running through Fifth Avenue. One protester can even be seen banging on an orange traffic cone like a drum, video shows.<\/p>\n<p>Protesters kept heckling cops by yelling, \u201cS\u2013t head! S\u2013t head!\u201d and \u201cBlue lives don\u2019t matter. You know that, right?\u201d <\/p>\n<p><!--If the slideshow is embedded in another post type add the inline wrapper --><\/p>\n<p>The NYC arrests come after Washington, DC experienced a violent day that saw supporters of President Trump storming the US Capitol as Congress was certifying President-elect Joe Biden\u2019s election victory. <\/p>\n<p>Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee said four people, including a woman who was shot at the US Capitol, died Wednesday.
