Snyder has revealed two new images, and a few new details, from\u00a0<em>Army of the Dead<\/em>. The film takes place after a plague has been released from Nevada\u2019s Area 51, which the U.S. government barely manages to contain by building a wall around Las Vegas, which has become overrun with zombies. But\u00a0Snyder told EW that there\u2019s more to this movie than simply a genre mash-up:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt is a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it\u2019s genre-on-genre in a great way. So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 percent. But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey. It\u2019s going to surprise people that there\u2019s a lot of warmth and real emotion with these great characters.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->A surprisingly heartfelt heist movie amid a zombie apocalypse? It sounds eerily similar to a recent zombie film release:\u00a0<em>Peninsula<\/em>, the\u00a0<em>Train to Busan<\/em> sequel in which characters attempt to infiltrate a zombie-overrun South Korea to find a truckload of money. But Snyder revealed that he got the idea for\u00a0<em>Army of the Dead<\/em> shortly after finishing his 2004 remake of George A. Romero\u2019s horror classic\u00a0<em>Dawn of the Dead<\/em>. The idea was tossed around Warner Bros. for a while, where it languished in development hell. That\u2019s when\u00a0Netflix stepped in, enthusiastically greenlighting the feature film and even funding a four-hour animated prequel <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Snyder wouldn\u2019t reveal too many more details about\u00a0<em>Army of the Dead<\/em>, though he did confirm that the zombies themselves will be \u201cthe normal shamblers\u201d as well as \u201canother level of zombie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The filmmaker also hinted that there will be some political overtones, including \u201cmetaphors about immigration, consumerism, and a jingoistic president.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThere was a lot of stuff in the movie in regard to what was h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ening along the border.
