It can be pretty embarrassing to forget someone\u2019s birthday, especially if it\u2019s a close loved one. Calendars are great for remembering birthdays, but if you want to make them even harder to forget, let Google Assistant remind you.<\/p>\n

Birthday reminders are part of Google Assistant\u2019s \u201cYour People\u201d features. This is where you can give people roles (wife, mother, brother, etc.) and add them to your \u201cHousehold Contacts\u201d for smart devices.<\/p>\n

The first thing that you need to do is open Google Assistant. On Android devices, this can be done by saying \u201cOkay, Google,\u201d or by swiping in from the bottom-left or -right corner.<\/p>\n

With an iPhone or iPad, you can tap the Google Assistant app<\/a> from the home screen.<\/p>\n

Next, sign in to your Google account (if you haven\u2019t already), then tap your profile icon to open the Assistant menu.<\/p>\n

Scroll through the list of Assistant options and tap \u201cYour People.\u201d<\/p>\n

You may see some people already listed here. If not, tap \u201cAdd Person.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is the screen where you can add their birthday. Tap in the \u201cBirthday\u201d box, then select the date. Tap \u201cOK\u201d when you\u2019re done.<\/p>\n

On this same page, you can add how you\u2019re connected to the person as well as their home address. When you\u2019re done filling in details, tap \u201cAdd.\u201d<\/p>\n

If you already have people listed on the \u201cYour People\u201d page, simply tap someone, then add the birthday information to their profile.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all there is to it. You will receive a reminder from Google Assistant when a person\u2019s birthday is coming up. You will also see a card for the person\u2019s birthday on your Google Assistant \u201cSnapshot\u201d feed, along with shortcuts to call or message them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
