What is: A pants-less Alex Trebek? Correct!<\/p>\n

As the late Trebek\u2019s final episode of \u201cJeopardy!\u201d is set to air Friday, Brad Rutter \u2014 one of the highest-earning contestants on the trivia series<\/a> \u2014 fondly recalls a time when the veteran trivia emcee hilariously opened the show in his undies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rutter, who racked up a cool $4.6 million as recurring \u201cJeopardy!\u201d contestant, remembered the seemingly straight-laced Trebek flexing his funny bones during the show\u2019s 2005 \u201cUltimate Tournament of Champions.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cWe were so nervous, we were just all pale as a ghost,\u201d Rutter told Philadelphia radio station WOGL<\/a> of the stress he and opponents Ken Jennings and Jerome Vered all shared ahead of their mental joust.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

To ease the tension, Rutter, Jennings and Vered joked about playing against one another\u00a0sans pants, noting \u201cJeopardy!\u2019s\u201d signature podiums would keep their three-way prank private.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we didn\u2019t realize was that our mics were live, and Alex heard us,\u201d Rutter said.<\/p>\n

At the sound of show announcer Johnny Gilbert\u2019s legendary: \u201cHere is the host of \u2018Jeopardy!,\u2019 Alex Trebek\u201d introduction, Rutter said, \u201cAlex came out with no pants on.\u201d<\/p>\n
