But the\u00a0<strong>G\u00f6teborg Film Festival<\/strong> has come up with a unique solution: watching movies like a remote lighthouse island. For the most part,\u00a0G\u00f6teborg is going virtual, but they\u2019re also offering something called <strong>The Isolated Cinema<\/strong>, which will allow one fest-goer to watch 60 movies, alone, for seven days, on \u201cthe island of Pater Noster is inaccessibly located at the very edge of the archipelago in one of Sweden\u2019s most barren, windswept locations.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Isolated_Cinema\"><\/span><strong>The Isolated Cinema<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Isolated Cinema\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8hcSAya7vKc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Have you ever wanted to go to a secluded lighthouse island, alone, and watch movies for seven straight days? I know I have, but up until now, such an idea seemed like a fantasy. But the\u00a0G\u00f6teborg Film Festival is making it a reality with The Isolated Cinema, which allows one person to watch 60 movies, alone and isolated, in the middle of the ocean.<\/p>\n<p>As the website puts it, \u201cOne solitary film enthusiast will experience total isolation from the outside world. No phone, no family, no friends. Just you, the sea and the festival\u2019s film program with 60 film premieres. For seven days,\u201d on \u201cthe island of Pater Noster, which \u201cis inaccessibly located at the very edge of the archipelago in one of Sweden\u2019s most barren, windswept locations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I know some people might think this is a weird, even un<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ealing idea \u2013 but to me, this sounds like heaven. Completely alone for a week, watching movies, while waves crash against the rocks? Oh, and there\u2019s a\u00a0<em>lighthouse<\/em>? Yes, sign me the hell up, please. Needless to say, this is a limited offer \u2013 only one person will be chosen to partake in the Isolated Cinema, and you can apply to be that person right <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/goteborgfilmfestival.se\/en\/pater-noster\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/travel\/article\/goteborg-film-festival-isolated-island\/index.html\">CNN<\/a> explains, the lighthouse \u201cwas deactivated in recent years, and the lighthouse cabin was recently renovated by design agency Stylt, so the chosen film fan will be able to relax in comfort and style. The living room will be set up as a screening room for movie-watching, while food will be provided for self-catering.\u201d Artistic director Jonas Holmberg adds: \u201cThe stay at the island will be perfectly safe. The person will have a soft bed and nice food. This is not about surviving.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And now for some fine print: the festival-goer won\u2019t be\u00a0<em>entirely<\/em> alone. Much like the hit TV show\u00a0<em>Lost<\/em>, someone else will be hiding on the island \u2013 but only for safety reasons, so you don\u2019t have to worry about the machinations of Ben Linus and the Others.\u00a0\u201cIf everything goes as planned, they will never meet during the seven days,\u201d adds Holmberg. Honestly, this just makes the entire endeavor sound all the more intriguing. You\u00a0<em>think<\/em> you\u2019re alone on this island, but there\u2019s actually someone hiding somewhere.
