Baseball lost a legend Thursday night, when Tommy Lasorda died at the age of 93. A two-time World Series<\/a> championship manager with the Dodgers, Lasorda was known best for his colorful personality.<\/p>\n

Here are some of his most iconic rants:<\/p>\n

In a game<\/a> against the Padres on June 30, 1982, Dodgers reliever Tom Niedenfuer hit Joe Lefebvre in the head after allowing a home run. Kurt Bevacqua of the Padres charged the mound and later said Lasorda should\u2019ve been fined, calling him \u201cthat fat little Italian.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lasorda responded the next day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll tell you what I think about it. I think that is very, very bad for that man to make an accusation like that. That is terrible,\u201d he started. \u201cI have never, ever, since I managed, ever told a pitcher to throw at anybody, nor will I ever. And if I ever did, I certainly wouldn\u2019t make him throw at a f\u2013king .130 hitter like Lefebvre or f\u2013king Bevacqua, who couldn\u2019t hit water if he fell out of a f\u2013king boat.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I guaran-f\u2013king-tee you this: When I pitched and I was going to pitch against a team that had guys on it like Bevacqua, I sent a f\u2013king limousine to get the c\u2013ksucker to make sure he was in the motherf\u2013king lineup because I kicked that c\u2013ksucker\u2019s ass any day of the week. He\u2019s a f\u2013king motherf\u2013king big mouth, I\u2019ll tell you that.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a 10-7 loss to the Cubs on May 14, 1978, Lasorda went off when asked about Dave Kingman\u2019s three-homer day.<\/p>\n

Tired of the Phillie Phanatic dressing a dummy in his jersey, Lasorda took the mascot\u2019s vehicle during a game on Aug. 28, 1988, took the dummy and used it to hit the Phatic over the head.<\/p>\n
