Jena Sims announced Wednesday she has tested negative for coronavirus, the same day boyfriend Brooks Koepka withdrew from the Travel<\/a>ers Championship after caddie Ricky Elliott had tested positive for the lethal bug.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy test came back negative, thankfully,\u201d the model posted to her Instagram story. \u201cWe are safely headed home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, Koepka \u2014 ranked No. 4 in the world \u2014 said while he hasn\u2019t \u201ctested positive for COVID-19,\u201d he isn\u2019t taking the situation lightly.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t tested positive for COVID-19, but as I\u2019ve said all along, I\u2019m taking this very seriously,\u201d Koepka shared on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to do anything that might jeopardize the health of any player in the field or his ability to compete. The right thing to do right now is get home, support Ricky and feel confident that I\u2019m doing what I can do protecting my fellow TOUR members, my PGA TOUR friends and everyone associated with the Travelers Championship this week,\u201d the golfer continued.<\/p>\n

In addition to Koepka and his brother Chase, fellow golfers Graeme McDowell and Webb Simpson have also stepped back from the tournament due to coronavirus concerns. McDowell\u2019s caddie also tested positive, while a family member of Webb\u2019s had contracted the novel virus.<\/p>\n

Golfer Cameron Champ also withdrew Tuesday after testing positive.<\/p>\n

The Travelers Championship is slated to get underway Thursday at the TPC River Highlands in Connecticut.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
