Apple is suspending Parler, the social media<\/a> platform favored by President Trump\u2019s supporters, from its application store.<\/p>\n

The tech giant said Saturday Parler failed to follow Apple\u2019s guidelines by not removing harmful content from the platform.<\/p>\n

\u201cParler has not taken adequate measures to address the proliferation of these threats to people\u2019s safety,\u201d the company said in a statement. \u201cWe have suspended Parler from the App Store until they resolve these issues.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a letter<\/a> sent to Parlers\u2019 developers, Apple further states, \u201cParler has not upheld its commitment to moderate and remove harmful or dangerous content encouraging violence and illegal activity, and is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines.\u201d<\/p>\n

The move comes a day after Google banned Parler, which describes itself as \u201cunbiased social media,\u201d from being downloaded on its Google Play store. <\/p>\n

On Friday, Twitter also permanently suspended President Trump\u2019s personal account citing \u201cthe risk of further incitement of violence.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
