President Trump\u2019s polarizing leadership and \u201callegations of a corrupt election process\u201d distracted voters and \u201creduced the opportunity to have a campaign dialogue.\u201d Also, \u201cRepublicans must study\u201d Democrat Stacey Abrams and the \u201cpowerful first-class voting machine\u201d she established in Georgia. The GOP senators\u2019 campaigns failed to do the same, choosing to \u201crun almost entirely negative ads\u201d and failing to \u201cfollow up on President Trump\u2019s success with Latino voters.\u201d Republicans must turn from failures that \u201cput the GOP victory at risk\u201d and learn from this \u201cnightmare from which we will spend years recovering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Centrist: The Elex-Review Commission We Need<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Though most federal commissions \u201cwork like placebos for political fevers,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/opinion\/2021\/01\/06\/2020-election-mistrust-commission-prove-or-disprove-fraud-column\/4132191001\/\">Jonathan Turley at USA Today says <\/a>we need \u201can honest-to-God, no-holds-barred federal commission to look into the 2020 presidential election\u201d \u2014 a thorough review of the \u201cunprecedented\u201d mail-in voting and new voting systems \u201cdown to the smallest precincts and hamlets.\u201d And Congress must conclusively settle the claims of fraud to restore \u201cthe faith of the electorate.\u201d Recognize the real problems, even though they weren\u2019t expansive or systematic. Can Congress appoint bipartisan members to such a commission when \u201cthe stakes are too high to allow even a dust particle to tip the difference on the ultimate findings\u201d? If not, \u201cthe public will be the loser. So, let\u2019s have a commission, but let\u2019s make it a real one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conservative: <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Brown-Nosing China<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stories like The New York Times\u2019 \u201cgrotesque puff piece\u201d praising Communist China\u2019s \u201cversion of freedom\u201d and pandemic response has <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/the-new-york-times-loves-the-chinese-communist-party\">the Washington Examiner\u2019s Becket Adams wondering<\/a> if <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>rooms are \u201ccompeting to see who can lick China\u2019s boots harder.\u201d The Times story \u201cgoes to astonishing lengths to repackage the Chinese Communist Party\u2019s brutal reign into something palatable and even admirable,\u201d ignoring Beijing\u2019s \u201cefforts to suppress the sharing of relevant pandemic information.\u201d It paints China as \u201ca safer, better and more liberal country than the US\u201d since \u201cTrump and those darned red-state voters\u201d are the real villains. The \u201cunbelievable\u201d piece exposes the \u201cfad right now for Western newsrooms\u201d to \u201crun defense for China amid the pandemic. The Chinese Communist Party thanks you all for your service, comrades.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Political scientist: A History of Violence<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Congress\u2019 enactment of the Whiskey Act in 1791 soon brought \u201cthe United States of America\u2019s first tax revolt,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.firstthings.com\/web-exclusives\/2021\/01\/americas-history-of-political-violence\">writes Darel Paul at First Things<\/a>. \u201cTax officers were s<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>ped naked, tarred and feathered,\u201d and \u201carmed men broke into the homes of tax officers and assaulted them and their families\u201d \u2014 setting off a long history of US political violence. \u201cThe breaching of the United States Capitol on Wednesday by a mob of pro-Trump demonstrators-cum-rioters joins this long procession of American ignobility.\u201d That disgrace wasn\u2019t nearly as violent as its predecessors across more than two centuries, but the \u201csymbolic\u201d damage was no small beer. And it reflects a dark part of our national character, contra Joe Biden\u2019s assurance that \u201cthe scenes of chaos at the Capitol do not reflect a true America.\u201d Sadly, they do.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gadfly: The Bane of Urban Public Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/articles\/2021\/01\/06\/whats_wrong_with_public_schools_its_the_unions_144979.html\">The Chicago Tribune\u2019s John Kass sums up<\/a> what\u2019s wrong with big-city public education: \u201cmilitant teachers\u2019 union bosses\u201d who \u201cdictate urban school policy and politics.\u201d Chicago union official Sarah Chambers, for one, sent a clear message to parents: \u201cTheir children don\u2019t count.\u201d She posted entries on her since-deleted social media accounts \u201ctelling teachers to stay out of classrooms and thwart Chicago school officials\u2019 plans to reopen\u201d then got caught taking poolside selfies \u201cin sunny Puerto Rico,\u201d exposing the truth about union claims that \u201cit is all about saving lives during the pandemic.\u201d No wonder \u201cparents are leaving shutdown cities like Chicago to find places where their children can benefit from in-classroom learning.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014 Compiled by The Post Editorial Board<\/em>\n            <\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
