His statement seems to signal that digital-asset valuations may implode once investor exuberance runs out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWatching the cryptos trade, it\u2019s EXACTLY like the internet stock bubble. EXACTLY,\u201d Cuban <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mcuban\/status\/1348663730712834056\">tweeted<\/a> on Monday before offering a silver lining to crypto enthusiasts. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Watching the cryptos trade, it\u2019s EXACTLY like the internet stock bubble. EXACTLY.  I think btc, eth , a few others will be analogous to those that were built during the dot-com era, survived the bubble bursting and thrived, like AMZN, EBay, and Priceline. Amazon, eBay and Priceline im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely came to mind. <\/p>\n<p>In Cuban\u2019s view, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and \u201ca few others\u201d will likely follow a similar trajectory as their value proposition and use cases continue to grow. <\/p>\n<p>Cuban\u2019s seemingly positive outlook on the top two cryptocurrencies came even as he dispelled all the narratives surrounding monetary debasement and fiat currency. These are \u201cjust sales pitches,\u201d he said, arguing that crypto valuations are based only on supply and demand. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As during the dot-com bubble \u201cthe experts\u201d try to justify whatever the pricing of the day is. Crypto , much like gold , is a supply and demand driven   All the narratives about debasement, fiat, etc are just sales pitches.  The biggest sales pitch is scarcity vs demand. He once argued that bananas are a better medium of exchange than BTC and said the digital asset will act more like a collectible than a financial instrument. <\/p>\n<p>But just last month, he praised Bitcoin\u2019s monetary policy by arguing that public companies should \u201ccommit to not issue new shares of stock\u201d ever. He was, of course, referring to Bitcoin\u2019s c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed supply of 21 million units hardwired into the code. <\/p>\n<p>Crypto assets were in the spotlight again on Monday after the total market shed over $200 billion peak-to-trough.
