\nOK, the more we\u2019re learning of this \u201camicable separation\u201d and \u201cmonths-later moving on\u201d the more it\u2019s all looking awfully sus.<\/p>\n

First, in November, we heard Olivia Wilde<\/strong> and\u00a0Jason Sudeikis<\/strong> had broken up \u2014 supposedly months earlier and based on the engaged couple\/co-parents\u2019 lives moving in different directions.<\/p>\n

If we\u2019re being honest that mutual breakup line always sounds like BS, but in this case the truth is actually tearing its way to the surface like shrapnel.<\/p>\n

Because just two months after the sad news<\/a> of the split, we found out Olivia was dating \u2014 for real dating, already\u00a0boyfriend\/girlfriend<\/em> status \u2014\u00a0Harry Styles<\/strong> after the two hit it off while filming her anticipated sophomore feature film, the now far too app<\/a>ropriately named Don\u2019t Worry Darling<\/em>.<\/p>\n

At first that seemed perfectly reasonable. Sure, she\u2019s 36, and he\u2019s only 26. And she\u2019s in a position of power over him as the director of his biggest film role to date, but hey \u2014 the gender dynamic has been so far slanted the other way for so long in Hollywood, it\u2019s frankly tough to get our blood up about all that.<\/p>\n

But when you tell us that the stuff about them splitting forever ago was all a lie, possibly floated by sources close to Olivia, aka probably her PR people, to make her look better \u2014 when the truth is she left her 45-year-old baby daddy for a hot young musician? That\u2019s a horse of a different color!<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s exactly what a source close to Jason intimated to People<\/em> on Friday \u2014 and now we have our second insider corroborating that on Monday to\u00a0Us Weekly<\/em>, confirming:<\/p>\n

\u201cOlivia called off the engagement in early November but only after she already had gotten close to Harry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That timeline is WAY off from what we first heard! And this source says the timing was no coincidence either \u2014 Harry 100% was one of the reasons for the split!<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether Harry knows it or not, he was a reason for the split and it blindsided Jason \u2014 he totally adores Olivia and is devastated. Family is his biggest priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Um\u2026 if this \u201cblindsided\u201d Jason, then it wasn\u2019t mutual at all. We can still buy amicable as the\u00a0SNL<\/em> alum seems like such an affable guy, but we\u2019re definitely getting the feeling this whole thing was cooked from the start.<\/p>\n

Innerestingly, just like before, there is some dispute among Us Weekly<\/em>\u2018s sources. Another denies the new one\u2019s info completely, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe engagement was called off early last year, as was previously reported. Harry was in no way the reason for their split.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A third tells them Olivia and Jason were \u201calready done\u201d before any romance developed, assuring:<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry did not break up an engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Why would the first source lie? What would they have to gain besides stirring the pot?<\/p>\n

Hmm. What do YOU believe about this breakup? Was it gradual and mutual? Or did Olivia leave Jason for Harry Styles??<\/p>\n
