When the split was first announced in November, we heard the co-parents were keeping things \u201camicable,\u201d that there was \u201cno drama\u201d \u2014 and that the breakup itself had actually happ<\/a>ened in early 2020. But since Harry Styles<\/strong> entered the picture, sources have floated the possibility the split was way more recent, potentially after Harry and Olivia got close. At this point, we\u2019ve heard so many different versions of events that our head is spinning!<\/p>\n

One thing seems certain \u2014 the Don\u2019t Worry Darling<\/em> director\u2019s new relationship has her ex-fianc\u00e9 SHOOK. A source for Entertainment Tonight<\/em> revealed the SNL<\/em> alum thought the couple \u201cwould eventually reconcile and get back together.\u201d<\/p>\n

They added:<\/p>\n

\u201cOlivia and Jason ended amicably and both wanted to remain close and stay friends for the sake of their kids and because they have mutual respect and love for one another. \u2026 He has been really hurt and somewhat jealous that Olivia has moved on with Harry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Another ET<\/em> insider agreed:<\/p>\n

\u201cJason is beyond distraught. Of course Jason still has feelings for [Olivia]. This is a fresh split. He\u2019s in absolute shock. He would like to repair things with Olivia and have his family back together.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This confidant claimed the breakup did indeed happen in November, but insisted that the Treat People With Kindness <\/em>singer was not the reason for the split. Yet on Monday, a source for Us Weekly<\/em> contradicted that claim specifically, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cOlivia called off the engagement in early November but only after she already had gotten close to Harry. \u2026 Whether Harry knows it or not, he was a reason for the split and it blindsided Jason \u2014 he totally adores Olivia and is devastated. Family is his biggest priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Meanwhile, other insiders are sticking to the original narrative, telling Us<\/em>:<\/p>\n
