Introducing Annie Hathaway!<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday\u2019s episode of The Tonight Show, <\/i>Anne Hathaway<\/strong> revealed a major pet peeve that has haunted her whole career!<\/span><\/p>\n

App<\/a>arently, she HATES the name Anne! <\/span>When Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> asked about her friends calling her \u201cAnnie,\u201d the actress begged:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCall me Annie, everybody, everybody, call me Annie, please.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She explained the whole mixup started when she was asked what name to use on her Screen Actors Guild<\/strong> membership card, explaining:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was 14 years old, I did a commercial, and I had to get my SAG card and they asked me, \u2018Well, what do you want your name to be? And I was like, \u2018Well, it should be my name. My name\u2019s Anne Hathaway.\u2019 So that seemed like the right choice, but it never occurred to me that for the rest of my life, people will call me Anne.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Her reason for hating the name Anne is also pretty hysterical and totally relatable, as she admitted:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe only person who calls me Anne is my mother and she only does it when she\u2019s really mad at me, like really mad. So every time I step out in public and someone calls my name, I think they\u2019re going to yell at me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

How triggering, haha! Co-workers have also nicknamed her \u201cH\u201d or \u201cHath\u201d when they don\u2019t know what to address her as, she added, pleading:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo feel free, call me anything but Anne.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
